Questions
- Q: Do I need an account to upload my game's savedata and rate someone's savefile?
A: Yes, you need an account in order to upload your savefile and rate someone else's savefile. That's how you get points anyways.
- Q: Points? What are those?
A: Points are what you get from your account whenever someone like's your savefile post. You can use these points to redeem them from the Point Shop area and buy someone's item that their willing to give-up. Like $ 5 PayPal funds added to your PayPal account or a stuff toy shipped to your address.
- Q: Why do you do this for free? Can't you charge money to get points?
A: Big reason why I don't charge people to get points is because it wouldn't work like that. You gotta earn those points by getting ratings. Think of ratings as generous donation from someone liking or disliking your savefile weither it's legit or cheated.
- Q: Is the point shop handled by admins only?
A: No, the point shop is managed by the community. The community decides what is put in the point shop by managing their own items in the shop.
- Q: How do you handle fraudsters?
A: Short answer, no we can't simply refund your points by the system, that would have to be the merchant's job to refund it from their side. However you can request an admin either by email or discord to ask for points refund. A staff member will then transfer x amount of points from their account to your's. The only reason why this isn't preventable is because points have no way to be cashed out because they are earned by getting likes from your savefile post.
- Q: How do you upload a savefile?
A: Click on My Savefiles link from the top and scroll all the way down till you see a form. Type the necessary information and browse through your computer's disk storage and find your savefile. (if it has multiple files that the save needs then it is recommended to zip it up before uploading.) You can then mark the savefile as cheated or legit and list it to the public, click submit once you got everything setup and now your savefile is uploaded and ready to be shared to everyone.
- Q: Before I forget, are all these questions actually asked by community members?
A: I would be lying if I said yes but no, these are just questions that you might ask but I answered them for you so you don't have to. ;)
